A Day at the Beach

Today was such a beautiful day we headed down to the beach.

Casey loved it! She did a lot of rolling around and playing.

But even though she is not running around in the sand yet it didn't take long before she needed a little nap.

And then she was right back to playing.

Then it was time to go test the water.

She seemed to really like it...at first.

then she decided it was way too cold.

Hanging out with Uncle Glenn

Friday afternoon we saw Cheyne's softball coach Glenn who Casey just loves...we have made him an honorary uncle.

Can it just stay warm already?

Casey is rapidly outgrowing all of her cold weather attire and it is getting harder to dress her for these cold days we keep having. Bring on summer!

All Clean

After getting covered with rice cereal on Friday it was time for a bath and Casey loves bath time.

Solids

This Friday we decided to start Casey on her first solid food, rice cereal and although she seemed to have fun with it I think most of it ended up on her face and her bib. She needs a little practice swallowing but that is okay we will keep working on it.

I love this picture, she is giving me the "really mom do you have to take a picture of this" look.

All Sports Weekend

This weekend was filled with sports for us. Saturday we spent all day at the softball fields watching Cheyne play in the league championship game. Her team played great and they lost a heartbreaker by 1 point and ending up in 2nd place.

Then on Sunday we went to watch my old soccer team play down in Ocean Beach. Casey had a great time being outside all weekend but I think she got especially exciting watching the soccer...don't tell Paul.

5 Months and Growing

My little girl is 5 months and I can hardly believe how the time has flown by. Casey is growing and changing so fast sometimes I wake up in the morning and look at her and think woo she looks so much bigger than she did just yesterday. Not only does she look bigger but she is learning new things constantly. In this past month she has learn to roll from her back to her front and does so just about any chance she gets. She is also becoming more and more aware of things around her, she is grabbing things and tries to put just about anything in her mouth (scary). She loves looking at herself in the mirror but I am not quite sure she understands that that is her. She also giggles and laughs all the time, she loves it when I make funny laughing noises. This month has been so much fun, I just love being Casey's mother.

We got the pleasure of having Ginga come stay with us this past week and Casey had so much fun with her.

This is Casey's favorite toy, we left it and Grandma's house for a week and when she got it back it was like she had been reunited with her long lost friend.

Casey has also starting losing her hair in the front, some people think that it may grow back lighter but I am not so sure, her eyebrows are pretty dark so I am guessing she is going to have dark hair like her dad...

but there is no mistaking who she got those eyes from.

Happy 5 months Caseykins!

Best Mother's Day Present

Last year for my birthday Paul bought me a handstamped "K" necklace from Three Sisters Jewelry which I love and wear almost everyday. This year for my first Mother's Day he bought me a new charm for my necklace which makes it even more special to me. My Mother's Day couldn't have been any better.

Play Group

It just so happens that there are quite a few girls that I know that have all had babies within the last year so my friend Jenelle organized a little play group for us. It was babies galore (8 to be exact) and with Casey being one of the youngest in the group it was great to see what the older babies are doing so I know what I have to look forward to. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Casey has learned to roll over so it was hard to keep her still.

Casey and Mady best buddies.

I love this picture because they all look like something is coming to get them, Mady is actually holding Casey's hand...the culprit was a stuffed animal being waved about in an effort to catch their attention and make them smile.

Notice Casey is the only baby missing her pants...she is just so much happier without them.
