Casey Loves her Daddy

This past week Casey caught her first cold which caused her to have a really hard time falling asleep. I had to get really creative when putting her down using the swing and taking her on car rides but Paul seemed to have the magic touch and made it look so easy.

Somebody is 9 Months Old Today!

Wow this month has flown by so fast probably because I have been so busy chasing Casey around and baby proofing everything in her path. Casey seems to be in fast motion now getting into just about everything. It is very hard to take her places where I can't set her down because all she wants to do is explore. She is learning new things almost daily from new sounds to openning doors. This month she indeed said her first word dada, she has definitely found her voice. She babbles constantly and makes lots of clicks and squeals. She has learned to mimic and loves it when we mimic her. Peekaboo or "where's the baby" is one of her favorite games. She is now bathing in the big girl tub and loving it. Her top two teeth have made there appearance which is great because Casey loves finger foods. In addition Casey caught her first cold which made for some long nights for me but other than that really didn't seem to hold her back.

She is now 17lbs, 15oz and 27.5 inches long which puts her right about the 60th percentile and buys me a little more time before I have to get her a new car seat...which is good because I am just not ready to give up the infant carrier it is just too handy.

Casey brings so much joy to our home, not a day has gone by in the past 9 months where she hasn't brought a smile to my face.

Dadadada

On August 28th while Cheyne and I were changing Casey's diaper she started her official baby chatter "dadadadadadada" and now much to Paul's delight she just doesn't stop. I practice mamama with her but so far it is only dadadada that she likes:(
