Happy Thanksgiving!
Yesterday we had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my parents house. Casey rode over there in style for the first time in her brand new big girl car seat. My mom, as usual, made a delicious dinner. Casey was ready for the job of "Grandma's little pie taster". She tasted lots of new treats. I think one of her favorites was Grandma's sweet potato casserole, yum. And like most people after a big thanksgiving dinner, Casey was ready for a nap.

It only took 11 months
After 11 months and not a day sooner I finally heard what I have been waiting for, mama, but it came and went quickly and she returned to her favorite sound dada....my little stinker.
Casey has not had it easy in the last couple of weeks she has a cold that won't quit, a molar coming in (major ouch), and on top of that she got Roseola and suffered 3 days of incredibly high temperature. In spite of this triple whammy she has stayed pretty happy. She is still getting around via the crawl however she pulls herself up on everything and has now started to briefly let go of things and stand on her own for a few seconds. She loves playing games, one of her most favorites involves Paul or myself stacking blocks for her to knock over. She has learned to wave bye bye, clap, share, dance to music (oh so cute), and point and yesterday she learned that she can get outside through the doggy door. I love my little stinker!

Happy Halloween!
Paul and Cheyne were both pirates for their first Halloween so it was only fitting that Casey be one for her first Halloween (she didn't pose as nicely as her father or sister, nor did she tolerate the bandana...I didn't even attempt an eye patch). And in true pirate form Casey found herself some pirate booty.
