Awake and Smiling (almost)

Anthony has been spending more and more time awake making baby noises, moving, kicking, and smiling so I wanted to try and get some pictures of this but he got a little camera shy when it came to the smiling part. I managed to get a half smile so I guess I need to keep trying.

Anthony's 2 Month Check Up

Anthony went for his 2 month check up on Monday, we finally got to see his normal pediatrician who I love and her first comment was about how healthy he looks. He is doing great, he weighed 11lbs 13oz and measured 24 inches (which is 1 oz lighter and 3/4 of an inch longer than Casey was at 2 months, he is my tall skinny guy). He also got his first shots so I was expected him to sleep all day after but that didn't happen, he slept for about an hour and then was back up and grumpy.

Carving the Pumpkin

Last Sunday Cheyne and Casey carved the pumpkin, luckily it was a nice day so we stripped Casey beforehand to make for an easier clean up.

She didn't get as messy as I thought she would as she let Cheyne handle the bulk of the work.

Play Date

Casey recently had a play date with a new friend Tommy and in typical Casey fashion she took no time at all to make herself at home with his toys. She actually did quite good sharing and taking turns but Tommy definitely took home the prize for his sharing...he gave all his favorite lovies to Casey.

Look Who is Two Months Already!

Wow I can't believe Anthony is two months old already time is really flying by. He is definitely growing by leaps and bounds and he seems to change on almost a daily basis. This month Anthony has started staying awake more during the day and has really started to notice the things around him. He has started smiling, real smiles not just gas smiles, and he has also started making those cute baby noises. He has started kicking his feet and much to my enjoyment he has started liking the swing and his binkie a little more. I can't wait to see what this next month has in store.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend and I think it was a big hit with Casey.
They had a bunch of bounce houses that were filled with crazed kids, all bigger than Casey so I was a bit afraid to let her go in. There was one that was smaller that was designated for toddlers so we set her loose in that one. It had a room for jumping and then a ramp that lead up to a slide. It took Casey a little while to get herself up the ramp but she did finally and had a blast sliding down the slide.

After a few times down the slide we went off to find a pumpkin. We let Casey pick it out with a little coaxing of course.

Then we tried to get a picture of her sitting in the pumpkins but she more interested in throwing hay.

After about 20 pictures Cheyne finally got her to laugh and we got this one.

Paul has been talking about getting Casey something with a motor since before she was born. I managed to hold him off 22 months but I lost the battle at Target Saturday morning. Paul bought her an electric kiddie quad...don't worry grandma it only goes 1 mph and Casey is a bit scared of it right now, I guess she takes after me:)

I Love my Sister

Cheyne was sitting on the couch watching tv with a blanket over her legs and Casey walked over to where we keep the blankets, grabbed one and put it over her legs just like Cheyne. Casey loves her big sister.

Hanging Out

Anthony is getting better at hanging out not being held but he is never alone. When I put him down he always has his big sister helping to entertain him and tell him it is ok when he starts to cry.

22 months today! (and look I got it up on the actual day)

My little helper making zucchini bread...she takes baking very seriously. Casey is such a big girl now, she is funny, boisterous, and full of attitude. She is learning things so fast it is amazing. I love watching her discover things, I was watching her watch her favorite cartoon The Backyardigans and she seems like she is really understanding what is going on, she she laughs and says oh no at the right parts. It is so great seeing my baby become a little girl.
