Egg Dying

Dying Easter eggs this year was so much fun, both kids loved it.  Casey has decided her new favorite color is pink so all her eggs were pink.  Anthony just loved throwing the eggs in the dye and playing with them with the spoons. Surprisingly we made it through with no spills and no cracked eggs.

Sickypoos

The last 2 weeks have been no fun at the Linkogle house...except for maybe eating popsicles. I think we are all on the road to recovery, I hope.

19 Months

Anthony is growing and learning so fast that I find where did the time go? He is becoming quite the sassy pants, his favorite game is to make sure I am watching, give me a sassy look and then do something he knows he is not suppose to do.  Also thanks to some guidance from Casey he can now climb through the railing at the bottom of the stairs so that baby gate has been rendered useless...if I want to run upstairs and do something really quick I have a little helper that will follow me everytime.  Anthony still is reluctant to start talking....which is frustrating for everyone.  I took him to a speech evaluation this week and confirmed that everything else is fine, he hears, he understands, he just doesn't talk.  She gave me some new things to try with him including incorporated some sign language which he has taken to really well.  Hopefully these new strategies will work and get him chatting.

Yes there were bribes involved...

18 Months

Anthony is my little big guy...still.  He is still a little peanut and looks so small but he is getting more and more grown up.  He still doesn't really say any words but he is definitely communicating.  He shakes he head for no and laughs for yes.  He points and grunts at things he wants and understands what we say and will follow directions.  I can tell he is a little sponge soaking up information because without even working with him he can point to his head, nose, eyes, mouth, belly button, knee, and toes when asked.  He is still a mama's boy and wants me to hold him all the time.  He definitely doesn't have the same outgoing personality Casey had at his age.  He is more reserved and I watch him and know he is thinking deeply about everything.  I can't wait til he starts talking but I know it will come when he is ready.
