The Wild Animal Park

Yesterday Casey took her first trip to the Wild Animal Park. My Uncle Bill and his wife Michele are visiting from Michigan so we joined them along with Grandma and Grandpa at the park. Although I think Casey is still too young to really enjoy the animals I think she really liked all the fresh air and the different colors. I decided to get a year pass so it will be fun to see how she reacts each time we go.

Hubba Hubba Legs

I constantly think to myself how lucky I am to have such a healthy happy baby. Casey has been the best little eater since day one which makes it no surprise that she is becoming quite the chunky little monkey. When Paul was a baby he had the chunkiest legs which his mother called his hubba hubba legs and it looks as though Casey is taking after him.

The Happiest Little 4 Month Old!

Today my little munchkin is officially 4 months old. Casey now weighs 14lbs 5oz and is 25 inches long, she is in the 75th percentile for both height and weight...she is my big healthy girl. This last month has been so much fun watching her grow. She is now smiling and laughing everyday...she loves it when I kiss her neck and her feet, it causes her to let out big belly laughs which makes me think she might be ticklish. Her new favorite game is horsey she lets out lots of giggles when we play that. She has a strong grip now and seems to use her left hand more than her right which makes me wonder if I am going to have a lefty but I think it is still too early to tell.

Casey got her first Easter present from Grammy, Midgey Mouse. It is almost as tall as Casey is so I thought it would be fun to have her take pictures next to it each month to show how much she is growing however I made the mistake of putting Casey in jeans that go past her feet today so she appears just a little longer than she actually is.


And I have so many pictures of Casey laying down I wanted a few of her sitting up and she was just so cute in this chair.

I love this picture because she looks so small in this chair.

After our fun in the chair we went for our daily walk, she was being so cute holding on to her binkie and chewing on it I couldn't resist taking more pictures.

I think I am luckiest person in the world because I get to see this face everyday.

Casey and her Play Gym

Over the past few weeks Casey has become more and more active. She loves to play underneath her play gym, she has so much fun that I thought I would share some pictures that show her typical day of play. Sorry some of these picture are blurry she is just constantly in motion:

First order of business, get those pesky socks off. Yes Casey has found her feet and if I thought it was hard to keep her socks on before, now it is nearly impossible.

The Crib

At about month 2 we transitioned Casey from our bed into her cradle which is right next to my side of the bed. This was a pretty easy transition in fact it was probably harder for me than it was for Casey. She has been doing great in the cradle and although she is still not sleeping more than 5 hours straight it has been easy for me to just reach over and grab her to nurse her. Unfortunately I feel her days in the cradle are numbered as she is just getting too big for it. Knowing that it won't be long before I have to put her down at night in the crib we have been practicing during the day. She really likes her crib so I think I am the one that needs the most preparation...this will be a huge step for me moving her out of my room entirely. I said I was going to do it at the 4 month mark but as that day quickly approaches I am having second thoughts.

Easter Sunday

We spent Casey's first Easter over at Grandma's house where we enjoyed a delicious brunch The girls got all dressed up for the occasion...I have been waiting to put Casey in this pink dress forever.

However I forgot to get my camera out to capture all the Easter fun until Casey had konked out.
